Don't you think we bloggers eat with our eyes first? I mean open a blog, look at the pictures and then decide if we want to try it or not? Well not everyone might do it, but a vast majority certainly do.
Which is why, we at Bloggers' Buzz thought it would be really nice to have a food photography club to improve our photography skills. This is going to be a physical club of a maximum of 6 or 7 and would be held at one of our houses. We are keeping the group small so that it would be easier to discuss stuff and do the assignments with ease. But depending on how this takes off, we would definitely consider altering the number. Those who want to join us virtually are more than welcome to. We will put the months theme here and you can submit your photographs accordingly.
You do not need to be a blogger to join. You can be anyone interested in food or photography or both and have a camera at your disposal. Again, you dont need a fancy dslr or lens or anything. Just a handy, faithful point and shoot would also do just fine. Every month will host a different theme and the workshop would run to around 3 hours or so. After every session we'd all do an assignment at home which will then be judged by a photographer...you know, just so we know we are doing the right thing. Although its going to be a learning experience from one another, Nisha would lead it, just to make it a bit more easier. There will be enough reading material to do the rounds and if doubts arise and cant be cleared then and there, we would get in touch with someone who will help us sort it out.
On the whole, its going to be a fun, no pressure session where we will hopefully all come out with flying colours. Our first session in on August 11th and its already full, but please do write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org now itself to hold your places for the coming months. It would be on a first come first serve basis.
We shall be putting up all the pictures and details up here after each session. So tune in to know more.
